I had previously bought a set of hoists, but they didn't raise the kayaks high enough in my metal shed. The wall cradles solved the problem. I had to buy new self-tapping screws since they are mounted to hollow metal studs. I should point out that these Cradles are not designed for attachment to metal studs. They are designed for wood studs. However, you might want to check the length of the screws provided to see if they are long enough if you have sheet rock. Also you might want to check to see if your studs are wide enough for the holes in the bottom plates. You could angle the screws inward though. That's why I'm giving this a 4 star rating. In conclusion, these Kayak Wall Cradles work just file and seem to be pretty substantial. I bought 2 sets.

ok so these hooks are fine the do what they are supposed to do. but the screws that come with them are like paper machete. the company knows this cause review after review states this but do they care? NO. or they would do something about it.
i say don't buy anything from this company until they take responsibility for this. what should have been a very simple job turned into a huge headache and a long trip to the hardware store to spend even more money. BUY A DIFFERENT PRODUCT MADE BUY A DIFFERENT COMPANY.
